A touching, pretty tune from the standpoint of a very precocious young boy in love with his teacher, who ironically is a a kind but misandristic 30 year old women's libber.
I was reading an article which used the word "misandrist", which refers to women who harbour a notable disdain for men. (Well, can you blame them?) It dawned on me that there must be single women in the world known as Miss Andrist, and there are. They're of Swiss-German descent, like my wife, and so though she's not specifically who the song is about, I decided to use a picture of her, back from when we first met. All of a sudden a light bulb went on and lyrics automatically poured into my head, and within 15 minutes this song was written, along with a pretty good idea of what the music should sound like.
MIGHTY MISS ANDRIST
Miss Andrist lives in a downtown flat, high above the fray
She's a teacher and she's under stress, almost every day
She's well connected and she loves to play, just as hard as she works
She once was married but he cramped her style, and now romance she just shirks
Oh, Miss Andrist, I love you most definitely
Oh, Miss Andrist, I'll love you for eternity
Mighty Miss Andrist
She's got her friends and it's power they want, they're always in the know
And they're still angry 'cause they couldn't vote, a hundred years ago
Some day she'll marry one more time, if she starts getting bored
But only if and when she figures that, she can wield him like a sword
Oh, Miss Andrist I love you most definitely
Oh, Miss Andrist, I'll love you for eternity
Mighty Miss Andrist
