Story behind the song
This three part song was quite popular in the Cambridge University folk club, but always needed something of an explanation, thus:
part1: a standard intro about a lonely woman etc a bit boring
part2: things start to get interesting as a UFO lands in her backgarden and she is absorbed into some kind of composite alien being.
Part 3: an advert for the travelling aliens - youre never alone with a composite mind!
Part 3 would sometimse be strung out into a rock-out singalong especially if Keith Sidwell had anything to do with it.
Post INVALID : I wrote this song in about half an hour, sitting in my bedroom in my parents house in East Ham one the early evening just after tea and absolutely stone cold sober. I have no idea where it came from (unless there was a passing UFO sending out the vibes)
