Four brief orchestral folk-rock tunes, interspersed by a symphonic heavy metal instrumental and a triumphantly majestic, classical crossover intro, bridge and outro theme.
The search for higher truth through informed, spiritually agnostic humanitarianism. My personal experience leads me to believe God probably does exist, but as an arcane, algorithmic-like higher power of science and ethics, with limited input to religion, human culture and personal lives, though with innate comprehension of it. But who knows?
Religious writings are subject to various interpretations and history is filled with atrocities being committed by those claiming to be doing God's work. Humanity probably does not possess the capacity to truly comprehend God. But we can try. Atheism is just another non-provable faith based absolute belief - in the non-existence of God. It's probably not wise to negate the possible reality of Judgment Day in some form or another, and fear of God is probably a wise course - not just on a personal level, but for the good of our species.
THE EDGE OF TIME
Can we bear the crimes of our cities without order
Or the cesspool of rotting nations wreaking havoc on their borders?
Will we teach the children myths and lies
To ease our conscience's pain
When the world could end tomorrow if our beast might rise again?
Is there even one man who truly stands for God's glory?
"Cause its plain how we've gone on
To exalt man's foolish story
We're standing at the edge of time and pretending its not there
Oh, what will be our recourse when our guilt's too great too bear
HOW MUCH LONGER?
How much longer will love fail?
When will its truth and glory finally prevail?
How much longer will men die
For reasons so misunderstood and forgotten with a mother's cry?
RABID LAMBS (instrumental)
WHAT IS THIS I HEAR?
What is this I hear? Let's make it clear
God's love ya can't fight over, all men must be one
If this God exists and our hate persists
What point can mankind serve?
What can we deserve?
...and of this persecution, His patience we'd test!
Why would this God love one beast
Any more than the rest?
So what is this I hear, let's make it clear
God's love we can't fight over, all men must be one!
INNOCENT CHILD
Silently waking to the strangest of times
The burden of life will be left far behind on this day
The brightest light achieving its right
To display its glorious rays
The gloom overhead will be driven away
The powers of force stripped of all sense, made to pay
And the winds of change must blow
As the candles of love brightly glow
Grow straight and tall dear ones
Live long as the river runs
Good men awaken, you'll face much more
So much forsaken, open the door...
For the innocent child...
