This song depicts my version of a hopefully very distant future world, if man doesn't wake up & stop hoarding every natural resource in existence...Adding insult to injury...Also destroying what's left with all the industries chemical waste deposits all over the planet...Did I mention a possible eventual nuclear holocaust.
(Verse)
Take a walk with me through a world I use to know
where the children used to play and the flowers used to grow.
The sky was brighter then the atmosphere in tune
the grass was greener when our earth was wrapped in blue.
(Chorus)
The sun is blackened by the air that we destroy
The earth eclipsed by slow decay
Evolution’s got my head just spinning round
When I think of what we’ve lost today…
When I think of what we’ve lost today.
(Verse)
From this world you fear imagine yourself free
from all pollution here just think how it might be...
To live in paradise a place we all believe
would save us from this price of lost reality.
(Bridge)
Some believe
If we had listened to our prophets
We’d have taken heed.
Some will claim
It’s only human nature
To destroy what still remains.
